90’s muse

There are certain actresses that I really enjoy watching, not simply because I’m facinated by the character they’re playing but by them. It seems perhaps to be the women of the 90’s that facinate me the most. Perhaps because I grew up as a child knowing of them but never really understanding why I knew them. But alas now I find myself 16 years later still watching their 90’s rom coms religiously.

Gwyneth Paltrow is one such woman.

Kate Winslet in ‘Sense and Sensibility’ reminds me of old classic paintings of beautiful women in gardens awaiting their lovers. There also seems to be a standard of artistry to each of Kate’s film roles almost as if she exudes class.

Frances O’Conner – Admitttedly I hadn’t seen her in Mansfield Park until last nights fondue party, but I am now smitten!

Winona Ryder the pixie queen herself, I’m always captivated by her nymph-like features

Little women contributed to my feminest views as a teenager – many thanks for your wonderful portrayal Winona!

Meg Ryan – Now this lady’s portrayal in ‘You’ve got mail’ not only inspired me to open my own bookstore with wooden shelves and a tinkling door bell, she also inspired me to write letters.

Thankyou Ladies of the 90’s! I am your most appreciative fan, many thanks for being you and remaining forever my 90’s muses’.

I am a person who loves books.
