Yeah, I actually wrote an image analysis of this photograph based on that allusion to botticelli. I think that’s part of the reason why it is such a beautiful image, I think we use our associations with botticellis’s venus and carry it over to this one. I though, that they make two completely different statements. Boticelli’s Venus seeks to portray divine beauty, whereas this girl represents the beauty of humanity itself. A really powerful image The longer that I look atit.
